Assigning moderators on your Euro Truck Simulator 2 server is the key to maintaining order and creating a pleasant atmosphere for all participants.
The process of adding moderators is quite simple. Follow these steps to grant players the necessary rights.
Find the player's Steam64 ID
To add moderators, you will need the 17-digit Steam64 ID of each player. If you don't know where to find it, use this guide.
Find and open the server configuration file server\_config.sii
Navigate to your server's file manager in the control panel under the "Server Files" section. You need to find the server_config.sii file. It is located at this path:
.local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2/
Add Steam64 ID to the file
Open the server_config.sii file. Find the line moderator_list: 0. Replace 0 with the total number of moderators you want to add. Below, add lines for each moderator in the following format, using their Steam64 ID.
Example for two moderators:
moderator\_list: 2 moderator\_list\[0\]: 7656XXXXXXXXXXXXX moderator\_list\[1\]: 7656XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Important: The numbering in square brackets [] should start with 0. If you're adding three moderators, you will have lines with indices [0], [1] and [2].
Save changes and start the server
Save the changes in the server_config.sii configuration file and start the server.
After restarting the server, the specified players will receive moderator rights. They will be able to use available commands to manage the session. Make sure you entered the correct and complete 17-digit Steam64 IDs.
